Who is it for?

Those responsible for leading and managing their operational function and accountable for developing team members, managing projects, planning and reviewing workloads and resources, delivering operational plans, resolving problems, and building relationships both internally and externally. This apprenticeship is an opportunity to develop and gain new and up-to-date leadership skills and approaches.

These outcomes are assessed through a combination of on-the-job learning and an End-Point Assessment (EPA) which typically includes a professional discussion, presentation and portfolio review. Government Standards Operations manager / Skills England

Requirements

  • Age: You must be 16 years or older. 
  • Employment: You need to be employed by The Salvation Army. 
  • Location: You must live in England or spend at least 50% of your working time in England. 
  • Relevant role: You must be in a management position or can be supported to meet the requirements of the apprenticeship standards.  
  • Learning commitment: You should be prepared and motivated to learn new skills, knowledge and behaviours relevant to your role. 
  • Manager support: Your line manager must be engaged and supportive throughout your apprenticeship journey. 
  • Time for training: You’ll need to dedicate part of your working week to off-the-job learning – this is a formal requirement and should be discussed with your manager.
