Management and Leadership Level 4 Apprenticeship

The Management and Leadership Level 4 Apprenticeship is designed for experienced managers who are responsible for leading teams, managing resources and contributing to strategic objectives. The programme builds on existing management experience and focuses on developing higher-level leadership skills, including strategic thinking, operational planning and driving organisational performance. Delivered through a blend of on-the-job learning and structured training, the apprenticeship supports learners to refine their leadership style, manage complex situations and contribute to wider business success across a range of sectors.

Requirements

To start the apprenticeship, learners must:

  • Be employed in a role with significant management responsibility, such as leading teams, projects or departments.
  • Have the opportunity within their role to demonstrate leadership and management at a strategic level.

There are no formal academic entry requirements, however learners are typically expected to have prior experience in a management or supervisory role, or to have completed a Level 3 apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. Learners may also be required to achieve Essential Skills Wales qualifications as part of the framework if not already held.

Length of programme

The Management and Leadership Level 4 Apprenticeship typically takes 18 months to complete, depending on the learner’s role, experience and pace of achievement.
