Team Leading Level 2 Apprenticeship
The Team Leading Level 2 Apprenticeship is designed to support individuals who are taking their first steps into a supervisory or team-leading role. The apprenticeship develops the core skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to lead others effectively, manage day-to-day operations and support team performance. Delivered through a mix of on-the-job learning and off-the-job training, the programme focuses on practical leadership skills, communication, problem-solving and building positive working relationships to support organisational goals.

This apprenticeship is suitable for:
- Employees who are new to team leading or supervisory responsibilities
- Individuals acting as a first-line manager, supervisor or shift leader.
- Learners who support others at work and are ready to develop their leadership capability.
It is ideal for those moving from an operational role into a position with responsibility for guiding, motivating or supporting colleagues.
Learning Outcomes
By completing the apprenticeship, learners will be able to:

Requirements
To start the apprenticeship, learners must:
- Be employed in a role that includes responsibility for supervising, guiding or supporting others.
- Have sufficient opportunity within their job role to develop and demonstrate team-leading skills.
There are no formal academic entry requirements. Learners may be required to achieve Essential Skills Wales qualifications as part of the apprenticeship, if not already achieved.
Length of programme
The Team Leading Level 2 Apprenticeship takes 18 months to complete.
