Level 2 Award in Community Relations, Equality and Diversity (CRED) in Youth Work Practice

Designed to introduce the Department of Education’s CRED Policy, which aims to improve community relations, promote equality and acceptance of diverity.

CERTIFICATE IN THEOLOGY, MINISTRY AND MISSION (children and family ministry)

This course will be of interest to those preparing for various forms of Christian ministry, and to anyone wishing to deepen their discipleship and understanding of theology within a Christian context.

Undergraduate Theology, Ministry and Mission (Youth or Children’s Ministry Focus)

Theology, Ministry and Mission lays the building blocks of Christian theology by introducing subjects such as Theology, Church and Mission, Understanding the Bible and Discovering the Christian Tradition. It also starts to engage students in practical aspects of ministry and in some reflection on their own person and ministry.

Diploma of Higher Education Applied Theology (Youth Studies)

Two year programme that equips you to work with young people from the foundation of a strong grasp of the Bible and a deep insight into the key issues facing young people today.

Bachelors in Theology: Youth and Community

Designed to equip people for Youth and Community work in Christian settings and beyond, this programme is vital for the world we live in where young people and communities are facing unprecedented challenges.

BA (Hons) in Theology, Mission and Ministry, with a specialism in Youth Work

This course is focused on your personal, intellectual, missional, ministry and spiritual formation.

BD (Hons) Theology with Pastoral Studies (Youth and Community)

This streams operates within the Bachelor of Divinity programme. While the core pathway equips students for church ministry and chaplaincy, this stream specifically considers youth ministry and community ministry. At it’s heart, this specialism aims to equip students for ministry within the community in novel and creative ways.

CYF MA

This postgraduate programme aims to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of Christian Theology, Ministry and Mission. The programme is designed to provide a solid background in Children, Youth and Family Ministry for students who wish to develop their understanding of this area of ministry and theology, those who wish to reflect on their practice at an advanced level or who are planning to go on to do research in this area.

Whole Life Discipleship Training

It is offered via the Frontline Conference, but in February it will be part of the Mission Conference. There are three streams: (1) Introduction (2) Whole-Life Preaching (3) Whole-Life Worship.

ACCESIBLE PROPHECY

Is a twelve month course of 24 x 1 hour sessions aiming to develop the prophetic gifting in individuals. This is done through small huddles of 3-4, giving teaching, practice and coaching in the prophetic.

Terrain

A year-long immersive discipleship course for 18 to 25-year-olds, specifically exploring the life of Jesus through the four gospels.

Certificate in Parenting for Faith

This course will equip students to successfully support parents and carers as they disciple their children and explore what parenting for faith might look like in their church and community. It will help develop foundational values and practices to operate out of, and establish practical steps to shape a culture where parenting for faith can flourish.

To Serve course

To Serve is a course designed for people exploring Salvation Army soldiership.

It aims to equip soldiers, motivated by Christian faith, inspired by history and dedicated to changing the world with love, innovation and service to God and others.

Through 16 sessions the course helps recruits understand and apply The Salvation Army’s doctrines, encouraging them in their discipleship and in their faith.

Faith-based facilitation

Faith-Based Facilitation (FBF) is a way of helping people think, talk, explore and respond to their issues in the light of faith. FBF is a process that uses specific tools to help people enjoy deeper, healthier relationships. The process is based on The Pastoral Cycle, which is widely used to help people of faith in their work. We are able to offer training in developing the skills necessary to facilitate this process or come alongside you in partnership to deliver a FBF workshop in a specific setting.

Introduction to Salvationist Doctrine 

The Introduction to Salvationist Doctrine course offers an outline of the Christian beliefs underpinning The Salvation Army’s eleven Articles of Faith and helps delegates to explore something of where these beliefs come from. As well as providing a brief overview of the substance of The Salvation Army’s doctrines, it examines sources of belief together with other distinct areas of Salvationist belief and practice in relation to ordination, sacraments, and the doctrine of the Church. 

Introduction to Biblical Studies

PIONEER ASSESSMENT

The Pioneer Assessment affirms an individual’s journey and desire to pioneer. It also ascertains what kind/type of pioneer they are.
